Dosing Calcium

How do you add calcium additives to your water , mine is at 340 and want to raise it up some. Do you just pour the measured amount right into the tank, or into the sump, or what?

I add my additives in the sump return chamber and then the return pump blows them around the main tank

i add mine right into the tank. right above a powerhead so it blows it around quickly.

It depends on type. If it is granules like calcium chloride, you need to dissolve it in a cup, then add. Otherwise the granules can drift onto your corals and burn them.
