Question about new fixture?

just put together my new 36" Aquactinics 175w MH and T5 fixture. It is very nice :) I have one question though, when I flip on the MH's the switch on the ballast lights up, but the bulbs nor the fans come on. Is this normal, or is something loose? I never had MH's before so I do not know how they act when brand new. Any help would be appreciated.

Larry,

Check to make sure that the wiring harness from the fixture to the ballast box is pushed in and screwed in until is locks. This way you know you have a tight sure connection. When you turn on the switch for the MHs the fans should come on right away and the MHs should start up within a few seconds after that.

thanks Tom, the T5's are coming on so I think my connection is good. I will send an email so we trouble shoot it. but the fixture is made very nice.
