What is the most exotic sunrise sunset in a tank you have seen?
We have a house at sunset beach NC and the sun sets over the water creating the most intense colors. Has anyone attempted to re-create this affect in the home aquarium that doesn't see natural light?
I have two actinics that turn off independently and halides that turn off independently but I want to further effect.

So here is my idea.
Use this (http://www.sirs-e.com/st/enttec-dmxplayback-mk2-p-55.html?osCsid=6571dff0355bc155a87c5f65f3415cdf) to control these (http://www.bocaflasher.com/productdetail.php?ProductID=3) inside some protective tubes.
Program in your ultimate sunset.

So because you have a sunset you should be tank of the month?

lol. honestly half of those colors you see in the sunset dont even go through the water. sea water filters out colors and light to a point i thought.

No.............that would be ignorant. My tank has only been going since january but that is what I'm going for so if its part of the package its part of the package.

Can we get something from divers that will confirm that at sunset you dont get any exotic reds, oranges, and purples. I doub't this is the case......... but I could be wrong.

I dive and never noticed anything other than it started to get darker and I needed to turn on my flashlight. Midday dives are much better... Also, I'm not usually looking up while I'm diving ;)
It seems to me that this is kind of a strange thing to want to reproduce. The actinics and blues are already trying to reproduce the kind of light you see when your under 10 feet or so of water. I suppose you could put some orange and pink cellophane under your lights if you really wanted to, but I quite like the look I get from regular reef bulbs...

Why don't you just put some full spectrum fluorescents on in the morning and night?
