I don't get it? Did you get the tank for $2 or something?!

No lol. I have some tangs in a 24 gallon nano. I told people I would be moving them to my 125 gallon. They didn't even believe I had one. Anyways to make sure it wasn't someone else's picuture they wanted me to show two dollars in the picture as proof. You need to read my other thread where I introduced my nano(with the tangs in it) to everyone. Lets say it got really heated. You can find it a few pages back.

The reason people wanted you to hold up $2 was to show how big your tank was.

The $2 was to prove that the pic was taken after the posts.

Of course now we don't know where that tank actuall is . . .

The mystery continues.

Thanks!

Hey everyone! Can you guess what fish I have in my 24g nano for observation temporarily right now? It cost me 120 bucks. I took out some of the live rock to make sure it had a bit more room.

Update: My tangs, flame angel, bartletts anthias have been in hyposalinity 10g quarantine for 1 week now. Still not DEAD. After hypo is done they will be going into my 125. I made a mistake trying to do acropora under pc lighing! My purple frag bleached and died. But oddly enough my other sps is doing fine.

Hmmmm...2 tangs in a nano.

Dont tell me you bought a Shamu off ebay?!!! I kid, I kid...

What do you mean by "observation" I sure hope your not putting anymore fish through any stress. Just throw them in the 125g;)

Dont Experiment on fish. Once you do buy fish from the cramped up LFS they are suppose to be home free, not back to a small tank.

Nice 125g BTW.

I am not putting anything in my 125 without knowing if it is healthy or not. What I mean by "observation" is watching it to see if it is eating well, has any health problems, etc. This is my chance to get it fattened up and use to prepared foods without any competition before I introduce it with my other possibly agressive fish (i.e. purple tang).

What fish is it Kennyboy? I will take a guess is it that wrasse you had in your 24?

Kennyboy1984
07/02/2006, 09:24 PM
I never had a wrasse. But anyways it's a blueface angel. He will be going into my 125 in the next few days given he continues doing good. Is there such thing as the "angelfish police". j/k. I am not trying to start any conflicts or arguements guys.

Thats what the LFS is for. You "OBSERVE" and see for any bad symptoms a fish might have. You see if its swimming well. You ask the LFS employee to "Please" feed that particular fish for you. If he passes the test. You buy him and you have your work cut out for you.

Got anymore pics of that 125g?

Thanks

Wow another one of his posts is quicky turning into spam, poor guy, I cant belive he's going throgh all this trubble when he really doesn't need to prove anything... The fact that he took the picture that everyone wanted is no longer good enough? I feel bad for the guy... Dont worry if people dont belive you, the lack of trust shows me something about their character and you continuing to try to please people shows how good of a person you really are. Like you said you will post more pictures in due time, don’t worry about the haters.

I am not hating him I just would like to see his tank with fish in it. I think he will do a good job on his tank.

I'm not calling you a hater =) I'm calling the people who were hateing him for saying he had a bigger tank waiting for them and not beliving him even after posting the picture haters. But yes I think we would all like to see more pictures =)

I did have some african cichlids in a 55g awhile ago but I sold them all when I realized how much cooler saltwater was!

You bring up a good point that yes we should all observe fish at the lfs before we buy. Even if a fish is alert, swimming, breathing normally, eating, no signs of infection or wounds you still cannot be sure it is 100% healthy just by looking at it for a short period of time. I'm still new to this hobby and have not yet developed a system or routine when buying and introducing a new fish but I really am leaning towards quarantining each and every fish even if I see no apparent signs of ill health before I introduce it into a bigger display tank. In one of the articles they said prevention is better than trying to cure something when it has turned into a big problem.

But my Blueface is doing great from what I can tell. He has a huge appetite for new life spectrum pellets only. I am currently trying to get him to eat other stuff but he won't touch it. And I really don't want to take a chance and introduce such expensive fish into a newly cycled tank. Any suggestions on a good cheap first fish to introduce into my 125 besided damsel fish or chromis?
