Can you sticky an article on best conditions to cause a quadricolor to bubble and how to encourage them to split?

Thanks for your patience,

Jonah

heavy feedings, or large water changes (>10%) with water that is a few degrees off from the tank water.

Worked for me.

thanks Bryan! Is that to split or to bubble or both?

Best,

Jonah

Speaking for Bryan, that was for the split.

As for making them bubble -- good luck ;)

I have yet to read anything that sure a true fact of how to get them to do it. There are a bunch of theories, but not a true fact. I've had clones (of each each) were one had bubbles and the other did not. They were within a couple of inches from each there.

Thanks! I've been trying to increase the flow to help it bubble, but if I put too much flow on it, it just moves away from it. I've also been trying a scwd to change up the flow and it seems to love playing in the flow but no bubbling yet.

Oh and by overfeeding it, how much? I feed it a cube of krill about twice a week and it seems to enjoy the spirulina flake food I've been feeding my Maroons.

btw, here's a pic.

TC,

Jonah

Do a search and find any article you can from Anthony Calfo on anemone propagation. As long as the anemone is healthy you can propagate is a often as every 2 weeks if you wanted too....

Buy the latest edition of Coral magazine and they show how to actual frag a RBTA

You know, I read that article. But I feel like if it can split on its own I'd like to let it.

My LFS said that it needs more light to bubble. Is that anybody's experience?

btw, I miss Royal Oak. I grew up going to the Detroit zoo, I still have one of those elephant keys for the speaker boxes.

I don't think more light will make it bubble. My BTAs used to be under
3 * 96 PC (in my 58g), when I upgraded to 2*175 MH + 2 *96 PC, I didn't notice any difference. (that was the only change to the tank at that time)

He was probably trying to sell some lights

That would never happen ;)

But what type of lights do you currently have??
