How do you clean your filter socks? [Archive] - Reef Central Online Community

I just put in a filter sock and was told to clean it just run it through the washing machine with a little bleach and then air dry. Any input?

Thats what I do, along with a extra rinse cycle.

How about the socks with the plastic rings? I'd imagine they don't do too well in the washing machine...

I dont mean to sound slow, but I keep hearing about sock filters, but never seen one in action, so could someone please tell me what it is!
