Hey thx for the addition that exactly what i have but mine are hard to take pictures off... know im missing just my cleaner shrimp & 2 serpent stars and all the inhabitants of my tank will be shown in this thread :lol:

Yeah that shroom is really intense i love it if not wrong it cost me like $35 plus tax and well has giving me 3 baby shrooms ... and 2 are in others fishiefriends tank... and the other still there just for the mommy shroommy to not be sad of loosing its babies.. :rolleye1:

P.S: that shroom is like that intense as shown in pic or even better believe me...

NO, and well there are alot of names for that pistol... such as Randall's pistol shrimp or red banded pistol shrimp

I have always heard that shrimp called a Randall's pistol shrimp. I didn't even realize the Drs were calling it a "red banded shrimp".

I have had that shrimp for years...years and years. He's been with me since about 1999, so like 7 years. I have had him in 3 different tanks as my system has been upgraded and today he goes into the 240g. I hope it will be like the ocean to him.

But for those of you considering getting a pair like this...please don't pair your shrimp with a yellow watchman goby. The Randall's shrimp naturally pairs with those high fin red banded gobies (black stripes with yellow face) and also with the yasha hashe gobies. The pair I have here is not a natural pairing and eventually this fish left its shrimp. So just think about pairing a Randall's with either red banded or yasha hashe gobies. The yellow watchman pairs very very nicely with a tiger pistol shrimp (and the tigers are bigger and therefore more noticable).

I have a neat picture of a serpent star too. I have had this guy for about 7 years as well.

EvilMel, I wish I had heard your story a few weeks ago. I added a Randall's pistol to my 75 w/ a pair of yellow watchman's. The male came from the back of his cave and proceeded to whallop the shrimp to it's death. He grabbed him,slammed him on the rocks a couple times, then spit him out.:( I put another in my nano and he is the coolest..he has a little network of tunnels he has built under the rocks and every day he comes to get a piece of food from my hand. I felt so bad for the first shrimp...guess you can't add a pistol to an established pair.

P.S: IM sorry about the loss of you pistol WATERFALLER1 i never heard such case but well too bad i cant take mine out and give it to you cause im not that happy with mine... i never see him just like 1 time a month or so alwas making new tonels and covering any coral that is in the sand bed and nip nip noise at night why he wait at night :lol: :lol: but anyways a cool guy and colorful but he should be more brave...

Your tank is full of colors really nice but i think i sow your tank before i thing at nanoreef if not wrong and yeah i always love the trimma but they are kinda pricey and well i get them once in awhile here and when im ready to get one they are gone better try next time... and well the other gobies is my loved GREENBANDED GOBY....

P.S: LOVE your zoas and well may i ask what kind of lighting you using??
