72" MH/T5 combo fixture Questioins

The upgrade to Ice Cap Ballasts is it for the MH, T5, or for both? Is there a noticeable sound difference between the stock fans and the Ice Cap ones? Thanks for your time.

Thank you for your interest in Aquactinics. The IceCap ballast upgrade is only for the MH ballasts. The IceCap fans tend less noisy when not at full speed. The real benefit from the variable speed fans is they will adjust their speed to keep the overall system cool even on warmer days.
