open cut

Anyone have any experiences with infections involving your tank? I had a small cut on my finger; completely forgot and did work inside the tank. Now it itches/tingles. I put on some peroxide and neosprin.

Should I be worried? :confused:

i would just watch it closely could just be from the salt. I would invest in a pair of gloves for your health and more importantly your tanks health.

I do sheetmetal work so my hands are always cut up. So far I haven't had any bad affects from working in the tank, but I try to keep my hands out as much as possible. Use gloves and tools as mentioned. In the past I have had the itching and wierd feelings but it usually subsided in a few hours.

just whach out for swelling and discharge. uther then that keep it clean. iching can be good it indecats healing.

yeah same thing happens if I have an open wound that gloves don't cover..

i also have cuts on my hands from work.. and never had a problem, i also deal with anemones... i'd say you don't have anything to worry about
