Okay I may be new to this forum but not to fish keeping. I am however about to start a new SW tank. I already have a 20g reef tank but am now setting up a 55g fowlr. I have been looking around and have found lots of posts that say oh don't put that fish in a 55G and what some are putting into newly establised systems. I would like some specs, and fish list from some 55G systems that have been established for a few years and have a fairly successful history. Thank you

SWFreak;
{Welcome}
You need to give better an idea in what your looking to do other then just fish for a 55.
For like you want an aggressive tank or more of a community tank or other wise your in plan for a mixer of corals and fish.

Iam wanting more of an aggresive tank to semi aggresive tank. I have an idea of what I want. Flame angel or coral Beauty, a toby and maybe a SFE to start. I have researched enough to know what may have tried and what some people recommend but would really like to proven setups for a 55 that sould last the life of a fish.

you can keep all 3 of those fish in a 55, but it will be at capacity. If you havnt already acquired the 55, see if you can get your hands on a larger tank, then you will have more room to expand.

SWFreak, You would find better odds on keeping a flame angel the a coral beauty for as well the tank would need to be well aged as well, water quality at it`s highest.
With a SFE, many do keep in a 55, but I suggest go larger if you can.

I have basically ruled out the SFE already. I would really like to know some existing setups that have been around for a few years. I am likely going to make the tank more semi- aggressive.
