I cant really see anything from the pic. But I had a HUGE cyano outbreak. The sand was covered and so were all the rocks. It looks like red or green slime. Very gross. But if it is cyano, you need to do large weekly water changes and syphon out the cyano. That should beat it. HTH

sory thats the best pick i could getrits like a maroon color not as purple as the LR in the LSF but its spreading very slowly over the rock

the secon picture looks like it.aww an i thought it was so pritty to. should i scrub my rock off? i knoe my nitrates are 10 ppm

i dont think you should scrub it in the tank, might make it spread more? not sure though, maybe someone else will let us know.
Low flow can be a cause of it, what kinda flow do you have?
Also what kind of clean up crew do you have?

I have same problem and I have been combating it ever since I got the tank up and running in March, my cyno source was from the water quality because I have noticed the reduce in the cyano when I started to use my LFS RODI water than buying the RODI water from the supermarket vending machine, so I will see few more weeks and what happens..

presently i have no clean up crew i just started the tank 3 weeks ago.it spreading very slowly but my nitrat is very high. i plan on getting more LR can.there is really nothing for a cleanup crew to eat and mmy amonia is 1 ppm wont that harm snails? could i add a few snails and supliment their food with nori or will that just dirty the water? I am thinking of doing a water change before putting more LR in
