i just realized that i have flatworms in my 90 gallon tank and i was just wondering what is the most effective way to get rid of them and is it a myth or is it true that if i get a mandrin it will eat them because i think now i have a high enough pod population to get a mandrin

Not all flatworms are bad, google benign flatworm and see if it looks like that. If so, you have nothing to worry about. As for mandarins eating them, I really dont know...

Whiteshark is correct; not all flatworms are concerned a nuisance in an aquarium. Contrary to popular belief, there are many more flatworms than the "white ones" and "red ones" you will read about. The "white ones" are commonly seen as harmless, the "red ones" are commonly seen as a nuisance/predatory. So, to be safe in your case, I would look into purchasing Flatworm Exit by Salifert. :)

I've used flatwork exit a few times without problems. It got rid of the majority of them, but I've never been able to completely kill all of them.
