I am upgrading to a 90 Drilled all glass in the near future. Here is what I am looking at for a set up.

tek t-5 either a 6X56 or a 8x56.
A 30 gal sump.
a Aqua C Remora Pro Skimmer.
a Aqua-fuge large 25.5" L x 4.5" W x 12" H refugium.
I am thinking of a Tamm Rio 20 or 26 hyper flow return 870 or 1100 at 6' head. I will be splitting the return in 2 or 3.
2 rio 600's and one Rio 400 for power heads in the tank.

I will be using my Existing 150 - 200 lbs of LR and adding to it overtime.

Any comments or suggestions? The main tank will have a shallow sand bed.

Thanks in advance for your help as always.

go with the 6x54...most will say 8 is overkill unless its full SPS

aqua c's are good but have you looked at the ASM skimmers??

ditch the rio's, terrible brand, with the exception of the seio powerheads

i think thats bout all i can thnk of...hope it helps

Thanks for the info.
The Aqua C I have already.

I have heard the complaints on Rio, what would you go with instead. For my return I am looking for anything that will get me to 800+ GPH at a head of around 4 feet.

The Rio I have used for years for the small ones and have not had an issue, but with the investment in a new tank I don't want to have any issues.

MaxiJets instead of the Rio powerheads.

Why so much rock in a 90 gallon? And then still want to add more to it over time???

i use a mag 7 on my 75gal rr...you dont want alot of flow through your sump from what i hear...its also makes the drain louder if u have alot of flow

and use either the maxijets or seios for powerheads...or if u have the money go with TUNZE!!!

150-200 lbs is a lot of rock to be adding to. Unless it is very dense, I don't really think you will have much room for more...

I would say go for 8x56 T5 because even if you don't plan on adding SPS now, you may want to in the future, then you won't have to upgrade.

As others have said, go with MJ or sieos, or Tunze if you can afford them...
