ive got a 55 gal tank that has a single tube stanard florecent 40watt fixture. i would like to get some mushrooms but is this light good? I know they are low light corals but im not sure if they will fit in.I plan on upgrading the light in the near future but not now.

Not enough light IMO. I have two 15W T8s over my 21g and keep some softies, but the tank gets afternoon sun as well. Even two NO fluorescent bulbs over your tank would probably be enough for many shrooms, but you'll be able to keep those with beautiful colours bright and more light-demanding species like rics if you upgrade to T5 or PC lighting instead of adding more NO fluorescents.

If you come up to the Orlando area I have a twin 40 watt balast, mounts and 4 bulbs. Two bulbs to use and two spares. They are 48" long and you can have them for CHEAP.

I bought the set up brand new and used them for a couple weeks. I changed to VHO's so they have been sitting in my back room for a month.

Its made by Coral life.

Tell me what you want to pay for em.
