I have a Ocellaris clownfish and would like to pair him up with a anemone how hard if that to do ????
he is the only one in the tank right now and i feel bad that he has no home.

Also this weekend i was going to get another clown with the anemone. Will the 2 fish share the one anemone ? or fight over it ?

One more question ..... is it bad to add one new fish a week ? or is that to soon ?

so long as one clown is larger than the other you will be fine.. they may fight if they are the same size...

how big is your tank?

I kind of doubt they would share, and you should probably get a clown bigger than the one you have now. That way your well established and confident clow will be too small to be able to beat up the new clown.

Bad advice. ALWAYS, get a smaller clown than the one you have. Because a small male can change into a female, but a female cannot change back. If you were to get a large clown it would most likely be a female. If by chance yours was a female you'd have a dead clown.

Also more thought needs to be put into this than just, will the clowns be ok?

How long have you been running your tank? (the tank should have been running for atleast 6 months before you think of getting an anemone.

How large is your tank? (tank should atleast be 20 gallons for 1 pair of clowns)

What type of lighting do you have? (should be atleast 4 watts per gallon VHO or MH high intensity lighting)

What's your water perameters? (anenomes need really clean stable aged water, great water conditions like proper PH, SG, temp, N02, N03, Calcium, ALK, ect. . )

And finally. No 1 week is way way too quick. Once a month is the most you should add fish at.

IMO it's the opposite. ALWAYS, get a smaller clown than the one you have. Because a small male can change into a female, but a female cannot change back. If you were to get a large clown it would most likely be a female. If by chance yours was a female you'd have a dead clown.

My 2 clowns share an anemone.

I had a large clown and then bought a smaller one. They took to each other pretty much from the get go and they are now spawning on a regular basis!!!!
