No liverock or sand?

Does anybody have a reef aquarium that doesn't use liverock or livesand?

Here is my almost 2 year old 200 gallon. I know its got a long way to go, but I'm in noooo hurry to fill it. :)

All limestone in the display. I do have about 180 pounds of live rock plumbed into the sump though.

I had one seven years ago. It was 150 gallons, barebottom with some dead coral and rock for decoration. I removed the trickle filter and had only two fluidized bed filters and several large pumps inside the display on the bottom of the tank to prevent any detritus piles from forming. I did monthly water changes of about 30%.
Fish list: 10" Queen Trigger (larger with streamers), Clown Trigger, Miniatus Grouper, Volitan Lionfish.
I miss the Queen Trigger. She was a magnificent fish, absolutely beautiful.
