I have noticed some cat hair in my tank. ANything toi worry about?

Also, what do you do with your hands before you reach into a tank? Wash off with regular water?

Nothing to worry about unless you use flea medication of any kind on your cat(s). We have many cats so cat hair is always getting into the tank.

Unless I have been working with chemicals or cleaning supplies, I usually don't wash my hands at all before putting them in the tank. If I have something on them, I scrub them and rinse very well.

Yeah cat hair wont be a biggie... and well i always rinse my hands with freshwater really hard and then put my hands on the tank but if you're scared of introducing any chemicals that will pollute the tank just run a piece of POLY FILTER (ask for it LFS knows what it is) and that will take care of any unwanted chemicals

There is cat hair, I'm quite sure, on Voyager, outbound from our solar system.

We have three cats, so no matter how much I try to keep it out there's always a bit of hair getting into one of the tanks. Hasn't hurt anything so far :)

if you are worried use a poly filter or carbon that should do the trick but most likely it's not an issue.

I always wash my hands off before putting them in the tank. If for nothing else to remove the natural oils on the skin.
