i have a delta star 1/3 chiller and a mag 18 return pump will it be ok to plumb them together

I have the same chiller...I used a Mag 12 for a few years to feed it, your 18 should do just fine.

See what the chiller says for flow rate. A mag 18 seems like a LOT of flow for a chiller.

This link show that it should have a flow rate of 10-20 gpm. That works out to be 600-1200 gph. Unless you have a lot of head loss through your plumbing, your going to be losing cooling efficiency with that much flow. And if your thinking the more flow the better, thats not the case with a heat exchanger. Just thought I would throw this out there for you. Cheers

Honestly, just switch from the mag18 to an external. You probably wont need a chiller anymore.

Its like running a 160w heater ALL THE TIME.
