fragging frilly mushroom.

I have a frilly mushroom and I have never fraged one before. One of mine is on a small piece of rock that has broken in two. The shroom is about 70 percent on the bigger piece of rock but part of its foot is still attached to the piece that broke off. Some times the little rock hangs down and its stretching part of the base of the frilly mushroom. My question is....Could I cut off the part of the base that is hanging on to the smaller piece of rock? Wil it grow into another shroom?

Ya, it should grow into another mushroom. That is what I have always done with mine. Both pieces should round out and the one with no mouth should grow one.

Yep, just cut it off and you'll have two. ;)

Update.....The little piece I cut off is starting to grow little bumps like the large piece. It looks like it is turning into its own mushroom. I will take a pic when it grows a little more. Its my first frag! this is pretty cool. It feels wrong cutting a piece of your mushroom off though.
