In threads that involve talking about the two items I listed in the title someone always says that the companies figured out the consumer was using the product for aquarium use and that is why the company stopped making the product or in GE's case they added mold inhibitor to the product. That isnt the case. These companies do not care how there product is used. They just want to get sales. A sale is a sale no matter what the person does with the product. Maybe they just added mold inhibitor so that the window and doors wont gather mold as easily?

They added the mold inhibitor to GE Silicone II to put added protection against water damage.

Whoever said that they STOPPED making money because someone is using it for an aquarium is well... Probably shouldn't finish that sentence.
