are they zoas or palys? how big do they get, for those of you who've kept them?

I just got a frag with 3 polyps on them, they look to be pali.

i just got what are supposed to be raspberry limeaids but they look small like zoas and the center is more of an orangy-yellow color right now. trying to figure out if i got something that isn't really RL or if they just haven't adapted/opened fully yet.

the true raspberry limeades were not really too large-- they are the same size as the bright green zoas you see in the picture here.

you can see the bright green zoas (came on the same colony as the RLs) in the bottom left of this pic.

as stated above, they're paly's, but usually smaller sized than the usual palys, almost large zoo sized :)

is it normal for them to be more yellow/orange in the center when young or under different lighting? so far, these only really look what i would consider pink when i placed them directly underneath my MH light. I'll try to get a pic later but they are pretty small and not all the way open so it might not really work.

Rasberry Limeades has always been some of my favorite palys...

as for the bright greenish/yellow ones, I submitted a similar morph and named them mellow yellow.. can you guys verify if they're the same.. I'm quite sure they are.. just under different lighting.. I only have 50/50 PC's... but since acquired couple more polyps of them... :)

ROTFL

I beleive it was Raspberry Tarte, if my memory doesn't fail me. I think the Lemon Chiffon one had way more yellow. LOL Once a tarte, always a tarte I guess! We should find some to submit to Zoaid with those names.

::Starts to search for RLs to buy on the internet::

hey marvin-- the mellow yellows are similar to the bright green ones that came on my colony of RLs but aren't the exact same. i know that they are only because i actually owned a huge colony of the mellow yellows (before there was a namesake for them)-- check out my gallery for pics of them. also, all the photos i've posted so far have been under 96w of 50/50 pc and usually are taken with a flash. :)

They look a little sickly, But as long as they get good flow they should do alright.
Thanks Az. I clicked just in time, I'll save ya a frag for the next time we swap.

Guh. Those are nice. Rasp Limeades have always been up there for me, too. I've got pink stardust, but the yellow skirt contrast is really nice.

creetin, if those purple and yellow ones really look like they do in the pic they are insane!

Hmmm, so are those really just so pink they look purple in the pic, or are all the other RL's really supposed to be purple centered?

'true' RL's should look exactly like the pictures i posted, laurie. they had a raspberry lemonade colored pink (and i just happened to be drinking a glass of raspberry lemonade at the time i named them) and a nice green skirt so i called them raspberry limeades. :D

i kept them under 20k mh and 96w of 50/50 pc and they always looked better under pc than under mh.

Danke, Yoshi!

Reminds me of growing up in the South, and had a friend (Yes, even big mouths have friends  ) whose mom used to make raspberry lemonade and nonalcoholic sangria for us when the temp went over 100 F. Even your make up melted :( The drinks always made me feel better.

I'm in love with those. Truly lovely. I think they will be my first specific zoa purchase...
