Hi!

Im setting up a 225 gallon aquarium in a few weeks. Joining to smaller ones. It will consist of mainly SPS corals and a few LPS.
My LFS has a small goldflake angel for sale. Aprox 4 inches. Will it get along with these fishes ?

1x Euxiphipops Navarchus - Majestic Angel
1x Acanthurus Leucosternon - Powder Blue Tang
1x Zebrazoma Flavescens - Yellow Tang
2x Amphiprion Ocellaris - Ocellaris Clown Fish
1x Neocirrhitus armatus - Flame Hawkfish
1x Naso lituratus - Blonde Naso Tang
1x Pseudocheilinus hexataenia - Six Line Wrasse

Shouldn't be a problem. I have this guy with PBT, fairy wrasses, pairs of dwarf angels, other angels and does just fine. But, mine is NOT SPS safe. I have heard most of them are, but this guy is not.

How are these guys with LPS and softies? How big do these guys typically get? Are they very expensive or common?

Thanks.

phocuz- Most seem to be reef safe, but the 4" goldflake that I purchsed was not. Also how did you get a hold of your gemmatum?

BlueNWhite- Goldflakes are pretty expensive fish. Online most are about $250-$350 and not readily available. But definitely worth the money, they are one of the most beautiful angels.

Thx for the info. Largeangels thats a very nice fish.

I will try one then. Fortunately my LFS are willing to take it back if it aint working out.

TurboSnail8898 - I bought the Gemmatum from a local reefer that are taking a break from the hobby. He got it from a store in Germany.

NexDog: How's your RS regal? I also picked up a little guy about 1 1/2"-2" yesterday. He was eating live brine last night. I've heard that small goldlfake's are hard to get to eat.

phocuz: Thanks.

He's doing great. I've only been feeding him flake and pellet but he is eating. I'm going to order a 4" Blue Line today. :)

On a etailer site the max length is 8.4" and the price is $340 but doesn't say what size.

largeangels your goldflake is magnificent. It is one of my favorite fish. Nextdog, is your RS Regal reef safe? Is your tank SPS/LPS or a mixture? How do you like your Deltec?

Steve, the regal isn't in the reef yet. It's in quarantine with my newly acquired Blue Line Angel which is fast becoming my favourite fish. The reef is mostly SPS and I'm going to order another 8-10 colonies this week to colour things up. Have a bit of an anenome issue though which is restricting the amount of coral I can add. I need to move it to a corner but the Clarkiis ain't going to be happy.

Love the Deltec. It definitely has a sweet spot but when you hit it it performs amazingly well.
