I'm trying to attach suction cups to my Remora pre-skimmer and was wondering if I can use regular superglue, like something you can buy at Wal-mart or Lowes? I would prefer to use a reef glue, but I don't have access to any at the moment. Will regular superglue be safe and does it hold in saltwater? Thanks for any input.

Most likely, yes. Very rarely will you ever find a non-cyanoacrylate glue. Just watch the ingredients labels.

I've always used the gel type (several different brands) without any problems.

Whats a good brand that will hold something substanial, like an acrylic pre-skimmer box?

I've used store brand super glue gel without problems for a while now as well. Go for it.
