Purigen removes copper?

I tried using paraguard to control Ich and it has not worked so I wanted to do something quick. I bought the Mardel Coppersafe and dosed my QT tank, the anthias are doing better, i have a hang filter, but thought about using some purigen to help with any excess nutrients. I don't think Purigen will absorb copper? Will it?
