What kind of fish benifets from macro algae or has lots of macro algae in it's natural habitat? I'm looking for a fish that I can put in my nano cube 6 macro algae tank.

Oh I like this tank! It has a lot of potential, and already looks well placed. :)
The first candidates that come to mind aren't suitable due to size of your tank: pipefish and seahorses. However, banggai cardinals are from lagoon areas with seagrass and macroalgae as well as LR outcrops, and might fit a nano. I'm not positive. Small gobies could also be nice even if they aren't specifically macro algae associated. :) Some clowns are also lagoon inhabitants.

I was thinking a shrimp/goby combo would be nice. Mabey a clown or bangaii with the shrimp/goby combo?

Shrimp/goby pair should work marvelously. Pistol's are often found in lagoons.. at least they are when I go looking. :)
