Which Sump Design?

I'm having a custom sump built and i was wondering which design do you think is better? These are top views.

I definately vote for Sump 1. Not as tortuous as Sump 2. Water can flow directly from the sump through a simple baffle. The 2 as a baffle is hard to make (a big curve) and gives you less room for your return pump.
