Hmmm researching skimmers and asking questions, tell if I'm wrong cause skimmers sounds like a lasy way of not doing so many water changes, I do a ten percent water change a week, isn't that removing waste out of the tank, and how can you have a skimmer and have corals and inverts, how do they get there food:confused:

there will still be plenty of food. And no skimmer isnt a lazy way of getting out of water changes...you still gotta do them.

Lambianz- A skimmer is crucial for good water quality. Get the best your wallet and tank can handle.

If you really want to keep a good looking tank you should definitely get a skimmer.

Agreed. Once you see what a quality skimmer removes from your tank it will be very obvoius.

NOT getting a skimmer is the lazy, cheap, or ignorant way of thinking that you can control all nutrient export with some 10% water changes. i run a large skimmer for my tank and do 25% waterchanges everyother week.

anyone that says they can go w/ out a skimmer i dare them to drink the skimmate that comes out of my skimmer in 1wk. if you don't think that needs to come out...then drink up

I still do 10% weekly water changes on both my tanks with skimmers.
