About 3 years ago I was in the pet store and saw what looked like a slimy brown sponge on a rock. I asked the shop owner and she said it was a anemone but it was almost dead. Being the soft heart that I am, I got it and brought it home (yea I know, stupid).
I babied it and in about 2 weeks it started opening up, in a month it looked much like it does now. It is only about 1 1/2 cm wide and has grown very little. I feed it brine shrimp, and treat the tank with phytoplex, zooplex, and just started with cyclopeeze.
Could it not growing be due to malnutrition? I hand feed and most of the time she eats well.
Can you also ID it for me please?

Looks like it is probably a bubbletip (BTA). I would try feeding it as much meaty foods as it will take. You can get a tiny piece of scalop at the grocery store (make sure you get the ones marked NO water added) and mush it up for it. The anemone probably can't take much at a time, but it should grow fast with regular feeding.

Edit: of course if the id is wrong, it might not be an anemone that gets big.

The people on this site often refer to

http://www.karensroseanemones.com/index.htm

for anemone care. She says silversides. I smash my silversides into 1/4 inch bits. Your anemone is tiny so smaller (rather than a whole fish) is probably better.

I'm no pro but her site has helped me alot. Maybe you will like it too.
