QT and Gender Change

I have an orange ocellaris clown that lost its partner 3-4 months ago. Shes probably 2-2.25" inches I'm assuming this fish has assumed the role of female. I'd like to add a black ocellaris.

If I qt a single clown(4-6 weeks) - .75 to 1.5 inches - do I need to worry about the fish becoming female while in qt?

Ive read the sticky on pairing. Any experience pairing with an existing clown?

Not ocellaris. But I've done it with clarkii, melanopus and polymnus.

I've never had a problem. I've always introduced a male/juvie to a female. Usually it's been a juvie.
