Is setting up a Kalk drip beneficial when already utilizing a Calcium Reactor. I now have my 125 set up with Ca, Phosban, and Carbon Reactors running. My parameters are finally in line as far as Calcium, Alk, Mg, all others are fine except my pH is running a bit high --8.7. ANY THOUGHTS?

Kalk will drive your PH higher. You need to drop it a bit.

I would doublecheck that pH result. That's rather high, if you're running a CO2-driven calcium reactor. They should lower the pH a bit, in most cases.

pH probe has been recallibrated. It was about 1.0 units off! Thanks, tank parameters all look good. I do run a calc. reactor and am just wondering what is the benefit of dripping kalk into topoff water. Is this a good way to buffer the water or is this more of a calcium reaction? Any advice would be great.

It adds balanced ca, alk, and raises PH.

Dripping kalk (limewater) will raise alk and calcium in a balaced form. It will also raise PH. If your alk and calc are balanced with your calcium reactor, I don't see any need to drip limewater.

I use a Ca reactor and drip limewater. The limewater allows me to run the reactor at a lower pace (less CO2). Also, the limewater keeps the pH a bit elevated, which is nice.
