I like my 24g Aquapod. I got the one with the pc's and I keep mostly zoanthids in it. There are some heat issues, so I just prop the lid open and let a fan blow inside the canopy and the tank stays under 80. I do a 2 gallon water change every week and everything stays in check!

as always the bigger you can afford to go the better since then you have some cushion with your water parameters. But since you are depending more on your parents cuz you are to young to get an actual job I would say get the 12g dx nanocube since it will take 1/2 the LR and LS to stock it and comes with some fairly decent lighting for soft corals.

IMO the 12 gallon is the best. It takes minimal work water change wize. But the 24 gallon is more stabel.

Now schmo let the kid ask his Q's and play nice.
As a mother myself I'd rather see him on here trying to learn about reefs as opposed to alot of other things he could be doing.

Why should his mother get stuck footing the bill? AT age 11, I was reading books, playing with cherrybombs and a lot of other normal kid stuff.
