Hello Again:
My first foray into saltwater/marine is in week eight. The tank has been surprisingly stable for such a young tank (knock on wood) . ph holds at between 8 and 8.3 depending on the time of day, never been a trace of ammonia or nitrite since the cycle completed, alk is at 9 and calcium is at 380. All good.
Question is, with freshwater and adding fish I always added stock slowly to allow the bio filter a chance to catch up. Should the same principle be used when adding soft corals or do they not put as much of a strain on the bio filter as adding a convict or a couple of Africans would in freshwater?
Thanks:
NG
