so i built a refuge out of an old filter and got my first realy critters and some macro algae i have a snail that looks like it has half a shell anyone know what it is? the second pic is a feather duster that came on a shell. what do i have to feed it? and what it this ball thing?(third pic) i also got a pistole shrimp but it didn't want its pic taken i'll try later. please coment on my pics

Third thing is a sponge, I have one in my tank.

this is a feather duster/tube worm and the last one is some type of sponge as stated. both are harmless filter feeders.

He's not going to grow if it's just a small one off the rock. He'll stay that say some. Those stay small and spread all over the place and then start to get on your nerve.

The flat-shelled snail is a stomatella, beneficial.
The dusters and the sponges will eat phytoplankton and the sponges will grow. The dusters indeed are a small species, but they help clean your water. You can get big colorful ones and they're also phyto-eaters. Your weed is grape caulerpa.

i bought some of the caulerpa for the refuguim and got all these neet critters can i have a large feather duster in my 29 gallon? i have a pistole shrimp som hermits and snails i want to get a goby for the shrip and a pair of clowns. and some soft corals

The macroalgae is Caulerpa taxifolia. Make sure double check your state laws about invasive algae species. Some states such as California it's illegal to keep this species. The snail that you have is most likley a Stomatella varia; a common snail hitchhiker, and my personal opinion, one of the best around.
