Adding Live Sand

What's the appropriate way to add live sand from another established tank to my established tank? Should I cure it first? Is it a terrible idea in the first place?

If it is from an established tank and you go from the established tank right to the new tank, is there no reason to cure it. Pretty much just turn of filtration, and using a cup lower the sand into the new tank. Try to pour it close to the bottom so as not stir it up as much. Let it settle and your good to go.

If you have a tube and a funnel, you can pour the sand through the tube and place it where you want. LOL
