Live rock and supplements

I heard i should add some supplements like iodine and stratnum and stuff since i bought live rock. I have no corals or naythign like that jsut 2 fish and a few snails and crabs right now in a 55g , i have 40lbs live rock. shoudl i be adding anythign to make the coraline grow better and stronger ????

Alkalinity and calcium are the two top concerns. Testing magnesium from time to time (perhaps once a month or so) is also useful. Strontium and iodine are worth supplementing, IMO.

dont add anything unless you test for it and you know the levels are low, and no to coraline additive it will take over soon enough
