Hi All,

Looking at setting up 2 tanks in my garage. They will be shallow so i can get a good view from the front and top (interact with the fish as if in a rock pool).

Tank will have minimum LR, Shallow sand bed, trickle filter to handle bio load. Recirculating beckett skimmer, ozone and a Sulphur beed de-nitrator.

Tank Dimensions:-

86.5 inches long x 31.5 inches wide and 12 inches high.

I'm planning of running two of these tanks the length of my garage, one will contain triggers (clown, picasso) and the other a lip stick tang, majestic angel, emperor angel, sohol tang. Both plumbed into a common sump.

Do you think these tank dimensions are suitable?

Cheers

Why don`t you think about doing a pair of small growing rays instead?

I don't know if you really want to "interact" with triggers. ;) Or maybe mine is just anti-social.

Not interested in rays......If i was going to get a ray it would be a blue spot but rays do nothing for me.

Would these tanks suit large angels and trigger fish?

my opinion is your going too shallow . I would not go with anything less than 18-24 inches . just my opinion

I also think that 12" is also to shallow for a fish only. I would do at least 18 inches.
