View Full Version : Room for the chiller?

How much room do I need for ventilation for the chiller? I would like to move the blue rubbermaid tub in the picture into the space between the chiller and the fuge, but it would put it about 6" from the front of the chiller. Will that cause any problems with it being so close?

I would not put chiller in a confined space, try to get 12" intake and output air. It will work better and last longer.

Agreed.

Ok, thanks. It has to be on that end, though. If it was on the other end of the tank it would cook my wife while she plays World of Warcraft! :eek1:

Yes, give more space. What you currently have may even be too restricting.

There's no way to give it more space. The only thing I can do is to not confine it any more.

A small $6.00 walmart fan blowing on intake will help

There're no problems with the way it is now, I was just asking if I could get away with putting something in front of it. It's kinda hard to see in the picture, but there's clearance all around the chiller.

Having said that, a fan into the intake on the back might extend the life of the chiller, but to be clear, it works perfectly as-is.
