Cycle question

I have been cycling with raw shrimp and I am just wondering if I should leave it in the tank until the cycle is over

if you have live rock in the tank its not necessary to put the shrimp in there, but I have read it may help it along, sure if its been in there a few days its fine to remove it now.

Just drop a little pinch of flake food in there each day as if you were feeding a couple fish.

It has been in the tank since sunday afternoon. THe only reason I am wondering is ITS starting to look nasty

Test for ammonia if it is high take out the shrimp.

I would suggest dipping it in extra cocktail sauce before eating if it's looking nasty....j/k.
