So i just started up a 20g fuge for my reef tank and im putting some mangroves, along with some other various macro algaes in it. i currently have a 150 watt hqi pendant over the tank and it came with a 20k bulb. i realize im probably going to have to change to a lower kelvin to get better growth out of my mangroves and macro algaes but i want to keep the lights from looking to yellow because i am going to have this tank on display with some seahorses in the tank. This brings me to this question: would a 10k bulb work for growing the mangrove and macro's or should i go to a even lower temp such as Iwasaki's 6,500 k.

10k should be just fine.

hm... alright. would there be a noticable difference in plant growth if i went with a 6,500k instead of a 10,000k?
