ASM G1 Owners - Question for you

I just ordered a G1 and a Sedra 3500 pump. Has anyone upgraded to the 3500 pump from the 2500? If so, what do I need to make it fit?

I would like to know before it arrives so I can get the skimmer in action ASAP.

The pumps should just have the same output size, so not much modification, just use the other pump.

The specs on the website say that the outlet on the 3500 is .25 inches wider, but I have also heard otherwise. I was hoping someone had tried it.
