will XENIA sting?

Hello all,

I have some pink xenia which are approaching some sps of mine. I understand they can outgrow the sps, but should I be concerned about them brushing against them? Earlier, they grew into some zoos of mine and then nicely kept their distance after the two started touching. Neither were harmed but I suspect the zoos might have slightly won that little battle. I know some consider xenia weeds and would say "get rid of them" but I would like to avoid that as I think they're awesome. Many thanks for any ideas.

I don't think the xenia will sting but the will cover your sps so just cut them away. My xenia tried to cover an acro of mine and I had to peel it off carefully not to leave anything behind to grow later.

My xenia hasn't stung anything in my tank either, and it's been near colt, zenia, and bubble coral.
