how to switch salt brands???

i have been using corallife salt but thinking i am going to switch to instant ocean. i have 1 10pound bag of coralife salt left. do i mix half and half for the next water change or how do i switch out???

When I switched to IO, I didn't mix salt brands at all. I would just do your next water change with the new salt.

I second Hawk..
Although I have read of people using 4-5 diffents kinds of salts each time they mix water to make sure they get everything, and that no one salt is missing something..

Just do ur next change with the new salt

use up what you have left ( no point wasting it ) then next water change use the new stuff. maybe do small changes at first with the new salt.
