Wow, those are all REALLY nice! Can you give more detail about your equipment? There appears to be some really nice glass here. And you have some great compositions! Good eye!

Hi, thanks!
I'm still learning, I've only had my camera for a year =P I barely know how to change the white balance! hah! I'm trying to take a class, but my hectic work schedule is kicking my butt.
Equipment:
Nikon D70
Nikkor 18-70mm F/3.5 Kit Lens
Nikkor 10.5mm F/2.8 Fisheye Lens
Sigma 105mm 1:1 F/2.8 Macro Lens
Feisol Carbon Fiber Tripod/Monopod System
I'm trying to get a Nikkor 70-200mm VR, but I'm still trying to figure out the lenses I have now, so I should probably hold off. I'm also thinking of selling the sigma macro for the nikkor vr macro because I've recently gotten into bug photography, and those guys are fast!

There's something about the 3rd photo that I like but can't exactly get a grip on.
Nice work!

LouisT, perhaps it's that it's floaty. There's no ground, no bottom. You know your feet are higher than the water, and that you're on land because of the barricade, but you can't tell what they're on. It gives you a sense you're about to fall into the water, maybe?

is that a good thing or a bad thing? hehe
The shot is I believe a 20 or 30 second exposure of very calm water, so it looks a bit strange. With a fast exposure it's a bit more boring.

Wow, you have some absolutely stunning shots there. I especially like the first and second shots with the composition and color. The B&W of the cat is really cool too. If you are "just learning" with those kinds of shots I can't wait to see what you come up with when you get "better"!!!
Thanks for sharing!!!

thanks for the comments!
I'm definately still learning, mostly by going out to shoot at least every other weekend for an entire day with a group of near professionals ;) It's the best way to learn!
I will also be taking classes soon!! I have to find time though... still building that 200 gallon system after work =(
