I need to get glass cut to make baffles for a sump/fuge. Anyone know of any websites that do it, or national chain stores that do it?

It's not hard to DIY, but it's a learning curve. Right pressure, accurate stroke. If you have scrap glass to practice with, you can learn to do it. But you'll waste a bit. Lowes would be my choice. If they don't buff the ends for you, get a bit of emery cloth to do that, or you'll get micro-cuts while you're putting things together.

I just went to a local hardware store and had a piece of tempered glass cut and it only cost $7.00. Probably any hardware store will do it pretty cheap.

I would bet you a dollar you didn't get tempered glass cut! Tempered does not cut...it is cut to size then heat treated to strengthen it and causes it to break into many small pieces if it does break. (safety reasons). I only say this so someone doesn't get weird looks at hardware store or glass shop when asking for a piece of tempered glass to be cut.

Yea, Lowes will do it, if you have any Ace Hardware stores they will usually do it, or just about any listing under Glass in your local yellowpages should do it.

Look in your phone book for a local Mom & Pop if you have one.
I paid half the price of what the big stores were asking by dealing with them.
