I have used it for my 29 gal because it is so easy when I don't have time to mix my own. I have had no problems whatsoever. I guess it could get expensive in the long run.

The only problem with it is expense. 9.99 for 5 gallons of water is bound to hit the pocketbook unless you have a nano tank.

good for a nano but if you aint broke yet, you definately would be if you got a tank over 30g

I don't like the idea because from what I have been told... these people who get the saltwater, they should be getting it when it is high tide but some get it at low tide. The water during high tide is much cleaner. Plus who knows what is in that water, I rather mix my own stuff and know its good.

Last time I got sea water my tank was all green.

The last thread like this went downhill pretty quickly.
I'll just say, I'm glad it works for you.

You would not happen to know where i can find that thread would you lol

Im only going to be using it once a month or so for the 4 week water change. So i can handle $10 a month

I've heard its good, but on a larger tank it would get really expensive.

I change 10 gallons every other week with a 5g inbetween. So thats 30g a month which would be $60 every month. Buying a RO/DI, a cheap trash can, a bucket of salt, a refractometer, cheap mixing pump, and cheap mixing heater would definately be cheaper in the long run though.

I tought about the idea, but what came to mind is the possibility of introducing unwanted parasites. I take extra measures to make sure my fish/corals are healthy and parasite free, and so I want to introduce only the purest water into my system. Who knows what you could be getting with ocean water.

Thats why you should take the time to test the pH, salinity, and phosphate levels of the NSW, if you do decide to go with it. I can understand people wanting the purest water for there thank, but 2$ a gallon? wow... for a 125g tank, it would cost 50$+ for each water change (at 25%). Just use either IO or IO Reef Crystals, with your own RO/DI... cost is just about the same as buying NSW and ALOT cheaper then 2$/g.

Like I said I have a 30 gal tank and don't really belive in water changes so don't mind $2 a gallon. Thats only $10 a month

Living in CA makes me spoiled when it comes to this. I can get Catalina Water for .59 a gallon, and it's all I've ever used, and all I will continue to use. It's not just pumped in and that's it, it's treated as well.

Have NEVER had issues with it.

Man you suck lol everything aquarium related comes from CA and it so much cheeper there. I think this is going to be the way to go for me no mess no mixing
