They can get aggresive, and may eat your peppermint shrimp.
I had one that lived with a lionfish, and would eat feeder platties, it would actually catch them as they swam by!

I had one that got eaten in a day............still not sure if it was the crabs or the hermits............possibly the starfish?

50/50 like all things you put into your tank.

very hit or miss. just as akrimmel said. they are fairly varied from individual to individual.

I had a mated pair of the CBS, day 1 they killed my peppermints... day 2 they went to the LFS ...

I now have a pair of cleaner shrimps.... Very peaceful guys !

i have 2 cleaner shrimp, 1 bloody red, and 1 Very large CBS and on top of that the tank is fulll of coral and there have never been any problems. Like said before there is always a possiblily that it may not be Reef safe.

I "had" a cbs untill one morning I woke up to him holding my percula clown in his claws above his head like a trophy.

I thought cbs were supposed to eat starfish.. erm.. legs as it were- not the other way around.

I personally prefer cleaner shrimp- mine is very friendly... he'll clean your hand if its in there and it tickles like something else.

I've got a large one, bigger than my hand. He "snaps" at anything that gets too close but as far as I can tell he hasn't killed anything.
