Do the t5 reflectors just clip onto the bulb and thats how they are held on or are the reflectors also screwed into the top of the hood? Hope that makes sense.

I had the same question before I bought my setup. As 20 20 says they clip on like so...

Hope this helps.

That helps a ton. Thank you, Also do you have to push the endcaps that hold the bulbs down into that base that you screw to the wood hard? Seems like they come out pretty easy. Just dont want to break the endcaps or there base.

Its awesome too because it allows you to aim the light if you want to.

Icecap reflectors come with plastic clips but they'll send you metal ones if you have a problem with them. Mine melted because I wasn't using a fan to disapate the heat they produce.

You actually wind up screwing the standoffs down and then really pushing the end caps in hard while rocking them side to side. There are little tabs on the endcap that pop out when they are shoved way into the standoffs and those tabs prevent them from coming back out. You have to shove the tabs in with a flathead screwdriver to get them back out. This is pretty easy to do (with the IceCaps at least) but certainly won't happen by accident while you're shoulder deep working in your tank.
