My Nano is around 5 months old right now and doing great, especially since it has an 18" Eel and 6 fish.
Here are some pictures, I have all hardy fish and hardy type corals in a 24g Auquapod w/72 PC lighting.

It's pretty but quite heavily stocked. Three seriously aggressive fish that reach about 5" long, with the exception of the Hum Bug Damsel.

Your Nano looks great as does the bigger tank in your gallery!! Nice job....

Yes, it is heavily stocked, but no one wanted a couple of fish when I took down the 90g, so ploop, in the 24g they went. I do a 4g water change once a week and things are going well, as they are still a little small until they grow up.

Thanks Everyone! I will see about getting some SFE pictures tonight, he is out all evening long typically. I only feed him every 3 days as well as the meaty foods to the other fish. The fish get formula 2 flake every morning pretty much, but I limit the meaty foods to every 3 days which keeps my bioload down a little, since there is a big Eel in there... Oh... and a bunch of fish...
I was told that when I purchased my Aquapod, it had the 72w (2x36w) PC Lighting which may be before they switched the PC lighting to Sunpaq. possibly. Not 100% sure on that, but I know I was told it had 72w PC lighting and when I looked up the Aquapod 6 months ago, it was shown as having 72w of PC lighting.
Again... I could be wrong on that note above... since I have been known to be wrong from time to time... on certain occasions... maybe... occasionally... ;)

No Mods, it is just a stock Aquapod, except I have the MJ900 in there for extra water movement.

Wow, I just ordered an aquapod today and I was gonna do some mods to it, but after seeing how great yours is doing, I might only change the fans. Do you use the media and such, or do you use LR rubble, cheato, etc.?
rjwilson37

I am just using the sponge filter media it came with, I rinse them out once a week with the water that comes out of the tank from the water change. You want to make sure the good bacteria on the sponge it kept and just get rid of the crud that get's trapped in them.
Good Luck with your tank!

How is the Snowflake Eel in the 24g Nano reef? I am guessing you have no inverts? Wont he eat the small fish too?

The Eel is doing great and I have had that particular Snowflake Eel almost since I started doing Reef Tanks over 3 years ago. He was in a 10g nano with a Valentini Puffer, and, since they both like krill, every now and then during feeding time when they both would go for the krill at the same time it would get rough, it's a good thing the puffer has thick skin. I have had him since he was about 7" long, and I have heard from some that all of a sudden there SFE just decided it would eat everything in the tank as it got bigger, so I have always been worried about that. This is also why there are such hardy fast mean fish in the tank with him, I am not to worried about any of them, since the tank pretty much revolves around the Eel and the other fish are just $5 to $12 fish. I don't think he is going to eat them, he has never shown any interest in the fish, he just does his own thing, especially since I do like the fish in the Nano and not just the Eel.

What is that blue fish you have in there? Awesome color to it. Also, I think I count 6 fish and an eel in a 24g? No skimmer? How often do you do water changes?

That is the velvet damsel, very mean and aggresive fish that loses it pretty white and blue as it get's closer to a full adult. I do a weekly 4g water change and feed the tank every 3 days in the evening with a meaty mix, I also feed some formula 2 flake here and there in the morning.

Nice tank! but IMHO the eel and a couple of fish need to go to your local fish store for credit or something... to much in a 24!

Your right, there is to much for a 24g on a probable note, but we will just have to wait and see what happens.
I got the 24g tank for the Eel specifically and the other's are just along for the ride.

RJ first of all, even when it is heavely crouded I think you know what you're doing, and if not , nahhh you know. any way, whta happen with you 90g, I never got to see it but I rememebr your 55g and I was a huge fan of it, it was the inspiratio of my 55g. I even had a snowflake but she die after trying to take a walk on the carpet. That still me hit hard seen I never thought I will "hand raise" an eel. I got it when she was 3" and she die at about 11-12"
Just wanted to let you know this and I will check on your updated of you nano. looking foward to see the eel tank in progrese. I think a 18" deserve it.

Thanks Kenny77, I pieced out the 90g because I just don't have the time for it right now and just couldn't enjoy it like I use to. I spent my spare time taking care of it, but had no time to sit back and enjoy it. After a couple of months of this and I see no end to it right now, I decided to piece it out and will try again in a bit when I have more time.
The Nano is very easy to care for and I get to enjoy it even while I am watching some TV with the family, since it is right there.

Here is one of the last pictures of the 90g before it was pieced out. A lot of people got some really good deals on some beautiful corals.

You need to put one of those 70 or 150W Sunpods on your 24. Are you running a skimmer?

Ok, I just started my 24 today and I'm a big fan of yours. It looks so awesome! Well, today I put 20 lbs of arag-alive and water in my tank. Tomorrow I'm gonna order 22 lbs of fiji LR, and will add it saturday. So that brings me to my next question. What does your substarte consist of, and how many lbs of LR do you have? Thanks for your help!
rjwilson37

I have the just above fine grade AragaLive sand and about 15lbs of LR give or take a bit.
After glancing again and again above at the 90g tank I pieced out, I realize how much I miss it.

Sorry to read about your 90...but you gotta do what you gotta do
I know how much you enjoyed it. Your Nano is looking good though. Maybe things will get better and then you can get back into your large tank again.
I also read that Amanda let her Nano go :( I miss reading all your post. You both have helped so many... like my self out.
For me, both the 85 and the Nano are doing great.
Here is the Nano
