I'm looking for some really active, out and about fish for my 18g nano. I have a Swalesi Basslet, but he hides all day (a natural cave dweller). I'm considering a Lubbock's Wrasse or a Flame Hawkfish. What are some of the most active fish in your opinion? Thanks

Most wrasses will be very active and swim about. I am not sure about the hawkfish, but realize it is also a shimp-eater.
Other choices could be a firefish (dartfish), clownfish, chromis, blenny, or others I can't think of right now.

I used to have a royal gramma and he was out and active, then at night he goes into his home in the rocks, very cool!

Remember that every fish has its own personality, so going to a good LFS and looking/observing the fish is your best bet.
What size tank do you have? And is there only that one fish?
