Introducing Live Sand to refugium?

I have an established tank running, and I have just introduced a 10 gal refugium to it. Right now it's BB, but I plan to add some dry sand to it. Once I add the dry sand, should I run the refugium seperatly for a few weeks to sort of cycle it, or should I just let it run as it is?

You should be fine connecting it to the display right away.

I wouldn't expect any type of cycle, assuming your existing tank is already functioning well. If you're using dry sand and new water, there shouldn't be anything to die, to create ammonia.
